A heavy fog has rolled in, and only a few of the stadium lights are on, casting a spooky glow on the field. Only a few players/creatures are wandering around on the field. You tell Yount to head left, and you’ll go right. The plan is to meet in centerfield, scale the wall, and make a stand at Bernie’s chalet until help arrives.

Yount nods solemnly, raises his bat and charges at what might have been Chuck Crim. You charge down the first base line. The corpse of Teddy Higuera lifts its head as you approach. His dead eyes don’t even reach yours before you knock his head clean off his body. You shake what’s left of his cheek off your bat and continue running.

As you pass first base, a kneeling creature ahead looks up from his meal. What was once a bat boy is now a bloody pile of bones. The beast rises up, grabs a bat, and begins to shuffle toward you. As you get within a few yards, you stop dead in your tracks.

It is (was) Rob Deer. One hit from his mighty club will surely kill you. His dead eyes squint at you, face contorted with rage. He unleashes a mighty swing. From ten feet away, your blood splattered hair flutters in the breeze. He swings again. You step back in fear. Another mighty cut sends a powerful blast of wind in your direction. His scowl turns to a frown. He lowers his head and shuffles away.

The dead in the crowd have begun to reanimate. Dozens pour over the railing from the stands. The flood is endless. Hundreds of creatures start to surround you. This is the end, you say to yourself. You pick out an undead fan with a Red Sox jersey, and yelling “Let’s go, Brewers!” you start swinging as the pack slowly engulfs you.

You died. Sorry, but it happens to everyone. Start over? Click here.
