Topps Series 2 will not be without its share of errors. As you can see from these scans, Yuniesky Betancourt and Jose Guillen are the same person. Yet unlike the Derek Jeter error from Series 1, this gaffe will most likely end up a UER (uncorrected error). I, for one, hope that this will give Guillen and Betancourt license to play twin brother practical jokes, even though they look very little alike.

I opened up a 2007 series 2 hobby box. I got 2 Daisuke Masuzaka cards. One the front is in english. The other is in Jananese. What is up with that?
ReplyDeleteHi, I also have a Matsuzakz rookie card in Japanese. I saw several cards on line but mine does not have the signature printed on the front like all the other cards. Is this a common error? Also, which card is being called an error? The english or japanese version?
ReplyDeleteWhat's funny is the Mariners have a commercial for 2007 where Guillen and Betancourt are cast as the DoublePlay Twins, riding a tandem bike, etc. I guess Topps is just pushing this along.
ReplyDeletejust what are they saying? all black men look alike? i see how it is...lol
ReplyDeleteI found an error... in the 2007 topps series 2 set card #655 claims that dan uggla (opposite H. Ramirez) weighs 2020 lbs... does anyone else have this????
